Originally developed in the 1990s, BoxwoodGreen is a premier waterfront community on Smith Mountain Lake in Franklin County. By water, we are located at the B26A marker on the Blackwater River across from “The Cliffs.” By car, we are one half mile from the crossroads of Burnt Chimney Road and Crafts Ford Road.
BoxwoodGreen is a beautiful and well-maintained neighborhood with a single access road that is monitored by a security camera. Our community has 87 lots that are more than 90% built out with single family homes. There are two primary roads (Boxwoodgreen Drive and Richards Way) that run the length of two peninsulas and end in five cul-de-sacs. Our neighborhood was made for walking and our roads comprise a 3.5 mile ‘loop’ complete with benches long the way. A mix of full-time and seasonal residents, two-thirds of our homeowners have lake frontage along three different deep-water coves while our off-water owners enjoy lake access through our private, community-owned dock and boat launch. The community also maintains a gated and secure storage area for boats, trailers, motorhomes and other equipment.
All of our homes were built and are maintained in compliance with our Association’s covenants and policies. We pride ourselves on non-intrusive community management with the goal being to protect the home values and living conditions of our residents. Our Association is well-managed and our annual owner assessment is one of the lowest of all Smith Mountain Lake communities.
Homes are available for purchase from time to time. Feel free to look at our website and we hope you will consider our community as a place to live in the future. Our community is here to help. Please click on contacts for any questions or to get involved.
